Steve Cook

West Allis, Wisconsin

Steve finished Silver Wings’ 1/32 scale Stearman by replicating a paint scheme on a plane owned by the father of a friend. Steve says, “This kit has been beautifully detailed with engraved panel lines and made true to scale. Interesting features include photo-etched cockpit instrument panels and reinforced struts that have been molded around brass wire. The wings and landing struts also have brass wire for added strength.” Steve rigged the plane with EZ Line and eyelets made from beading wire, and ran .022 solder wire for fuel lines. He also used EZ Line for engine wiring.
