Have been modelling since 7 years old (1967)--first model built by myself being a 1/48 Aurora UH-1B; the Huey is still one of my favorite subjects(still cannot understand why we are still waiting for an accurate,decent kit of a 1/35 kit when it is such a popular subject!). My other favorite is the military Land Rover in all of its many variations, but again am disappointed at the lack of kits of this apparently popular subject. I also collect 54mm pre-painted military figures, authentic militaria(to include camo uniforms), military paintings and of course a large library of reference books to use in my modelling. I have a son who will be enlisting in the Marine Corps shortly, so I will have more time to work on my stacks of unbuilt kits. I graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and was an O-3 Intelligence Officer in the USAFR for many years; currently an O-3 in the Virginia Defense Force as the Battalion S-2 and S-4. Would like to know if there are any others that are as crazy about Land Rovers and Hueys as I am!
