I have been building models since 1977. I still have my Tamiya Centurion in 1/25th with interior from 1977 on one of my shelves. I got serious about the hobby during the first Gulf war in 1991. I have built probably over 100 armor models, about 25 airplanes, and about 25 ships. I have to say I love ships the most. My great grandfather was a fisherman from Sicily and he made many ship models carved out of wood and using all kinds of materials. He was somewhat locally famous for these models. I think if he saw my Tamiya Big E with the GMM sets (as an example) ....he would not believe the advances in this hobby. Building models is one of the great joys of my life for decades now.
