HVAR Rockets question

Hi guys! i´m finishing my F4U-5 and I want add some rockets but I can´t find any good pick about how they where conected to the plane, I know the are some wires but I don´t know more.

any help? pics, ideas?

Also of interest, note the mud-splatter on the wings & fuselage...  The picture appears to be from the PTO rather than Korea, but I don't remember what the caption said...

*EDIT: I take that back... Judging from the lack of a red stripe in the insignia and no Navy nomenclature markings under the stab, it's likely a Marine bird, definately not Korean War, but WW2 rather...
