Has Essential Techniques shipped yet?  I know it is not due on the newstands for another week or two, but I was curious about those of us who pre-purchased one through the website?  I thought I saw a couple folks comment they had received theirs.

Hi Boyd,

"Early" copies have already arrived at the office, so there's a chance it's started making its way into the world. Our production schedule says it'll ship to pre-purchase buyers around April 25.

Am I missing something? The cover of Special Techniques says there are 3 step by step builds yet I cannot find them in the magazine. This is the first time I have purchased this magazine and the step by step instructions are what sold me.

Actually, the cover says "Step by step projects," with three photos positioned underneath the text.

And the special issue features more than three step by step builds/projects, including: "Focus on a photo Lightning," "Resin ship modeling," "Motorizing a Spitfire," "Model a Falklands War Mirage," "Build your first diorama," and "Building a German pilllbox diorama."

Hello Kelly,
Just a word or two on how much I enjoyed the 'Essential Techniques' just issued.
Read every article, and even the ones outside my area of modelling were informative and interesting. Well laid out and easy to read. Value for money for sure.
Good job FSM boys and girls Thumbs Up [tup] I'll try not to spill paint all over it Whistling [:-^]
All the best,
