AMPS Show Report and Photo Gallery
Posted by Aaron Skinner on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 4:51 PM

FineScale Modeler staffers Kelly Shaw and Aaron Skinner traveled to Auburn, Ind., April 10-12, to cover the Armor Modeling and Preservation Society's annual convention. They shot more than 100 of the models on display. For a gallery of some of them, go to FSM's AMPS 2008 Coverage. Expect to see more in print in the future.

Cheers,

Hello Aaron, I see your pic in FSM all the time of course and I keep saying to myself, "DAMN he looks familiar." You by chance weren't in the 2955 CLSS at Robins AFB, GA were you? About 1991-92????

Cheers, then SRA Richard Smith

Richard,

Thanks for writing. In 1991-92, I was graduating from college in Brisbane, Australia, so I guess I'm not the guy your thinking about. Pardon my ignorance, what is CLSS?

Richard,

No. I was born in the States, then moved to Brissie when I was 4. Lived there until I was 24, and moved back to the US for work. Where abouts are you living?

Rich,

I'm jealous. On the Bellarine Penn and you work on Qantas 747s! Thanks for the comment on the Mustang. Not a bad little kit to build, and the best looking Mustang to boot.

Aaron,

Have to agree with you on being the best looking Mustang. Ever since I first saw a fastback Mustang, I thought they looked cool. I am a Chevy man myself and don't really care for Fords but, IF I had one, I think that would be it. Got to ride in a '67 convertible once when I lived in California. Yes, the top was down, it was a BEAUTIFUL California summer day. Was born in Sacramento btw.
