As for your mangled print magazine problems, you've encountered a problem that frustrates us every bit as much as you. Once the magazines leave our printing plant, we no longer have control over what happens to them. The Post Office takes a lot of knocks, but the majority of magazines they deliver arrive in good condition. Complaints about damaged copies often seem to come from subscribers served by specific post offices--maybe one with an over-aggressive sorting machine or something like that.
If that's the problem, one way around it may be to have your magazine sent to you at work (if your employer doesn't mind) or to a friend or relative whom you see fairly often.
