I followed the "contact us" link and posted there, but thought I would post my suggestion here, as well.
It's really very simple: Would it be possibe to have those that build and review new kits include overall finished kit dimensions as part of the review process? Currently, it's impossible to ascertain a model's size since there is nothing to relate it to. You can say the kit is 1/72, but that by itself doesn't mean a lot; the 1/72 TU-95 Bear is several orders of magnitude larger than a 1/72 P-51, yet if both are reviewed in the magazine, the photos will show a relative similarity in size between the two kits.
This would be easy to accomplish. In the yellow boxes that list scale, manufacturer and price (the sidebar??), there could be a heading of "finished kit dimensions", or the reviewer could simply state the finished dimensions at the end of the article.
Personally, it doesn't really matter if the wingspan is one scale inch too long or too short, but it makes a significant difference if the wingspan is 7" or 27", since for many that may determine storage space requirements, and could potentially affect whether a particular kit is purchased or not.
Thanks for "listening".
