"Your name" has accepted your friendship on Finescale.com

Good evening all,

Just curious to who else received this email(s) earlier today? I was notified three different times today about fellow modelers accepting my friendship and the names are legit too. Did not want to take a chance so I never opened em.

I talked to another fellow FSMer and he too received such emails and one was from me!

I was unware of FSM getting into the act of a FSM chat line....Banged Head [banghead] I have a feeling either somebody hacked into the system or I totally missed a thread on this.. I know I have not been on here in a few months but geez..

Just thought I'd bring this to your attention..

Flaps up,

Mike

I'm thinking it's a hack attempt, trying to get people's passwords and such.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Mike,

Sorry about that. The company was testing new Forum software that included an automated notification system that they didn't realize was active immediately. The good news is it wasn't an outside entity. It's now been shut off and you can disregard the messages.

Cheers,

Aaron
