Another Request About The Update...
Posted by Wingman_kz on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 1:16 AM

RIght off the bat, check out this link:

/forums/t/118998.aspx

Well, evidently I can't give it a title. It's a thread by bodie37 on the Tamiya 1/48 DeHavilland Mosquito. And the reason I'm posting it here is the width that the page uses. It's much wider than any of the other threads I've read since the changeover and, in my opinion, it's much easier to view. That's my biggest complaint about the new forum. I know the other stuff will be (and is being) sorted out but trying to read the threads/posts in this little 600 pixel or so width is making me crosseyed. So, I don't know if this thread was an accident or what but it shows it can be done. Please do this for the rest of the threads/forum. Please. Or even wider. My monitor can handle it. Big Smile Honest...

And please forgive me for starting another thread about the update.

Tony, that page is an anomoly, and I suspect has something to do about the images embedded in it.

You can easily achieve a similar look for the entire forum by holding down the Ctrl key while pressing "+" or "-" or rolling the wheel on your mouse.

So long folks!

Maybe, but it does exist so it could work globally. Thanks for the tip but that just magnifies everything. Personally, I don't understand why the page layout is the way it is. I realize ads are a fact of life, they must stay, but this page would fit on a 13" monitor without sidescrolling. Most folks have larger monitors these days. So why waste all that space on the right? Push the login/personal link/shortcut/ad column to the right and save my sight. I do have some vision problems and that's why I haven't been here or built anything for over a year but I'm not the only one that has commented on this bothering their eyes. It truely does. I drag in the sides of the page and center it on the desktop so I'm not looking to the left but it's so small and it doesn't have to be. There's still some adjustments to be made anyway 'cause as I type this my text disappears under that column.

Okey Dokey, making progress I see. Now it's centered, let's see if we can make it a little wider. Yes
