The Browse-By-Subject function is what the name implies: a very quick, broad search function. As it's presently configured, it covers material going back only to the Dec. 2000 issue, and it's designed to hit only popular subjects. There are no listings for the A-26 or P-61 because we haven't done a feature article or Workbench Review on either of those aircraft since 12/2000. The
We have to manually add identifier codes to each article's entry in the table of contents; the code set for specific aircraft or vehicles is limited to the most common subjects (the T-28 is not one of them, but A-26 and P-61 are).
As each
new issue is added to the site, we add the browse codes, but I suspect we may never go back and add them to the pre-2001 material because it seems to be adequately covered by the site search function http://www.finescale.com/fsm/search/Default.asp?mode=advanced&search= and the magazine index http://www.finescale.com/fsm/html/TheMagazine/MagazinesIndex/MagazinesIndex.asp (for that I *do* want to compile a new cumulative index).
