Notifying of forum down time.

So apparently the forum went down for Maintinance last night.  I spent 1/2 an hour trying to log in to no avail and informed customer service.  They said the site was down for routine maintinance (I will have to take them for their word even though I saw at least one person online when the suposed down time was and in which I STILL could not log in.)  So if indeed there is going to be a scheduled down time for maintinance could we get some kind of warning or reminder?
