Posts and the reason for them
Posted by tankerbuilder on Saturday, July 17, 2010 12:29 PM

This is to the fine folks who make this site possible. I am known here as TANKERBUILDER.I recently recieved a post from a participant that turned to a vitriolic response to something I said in Reply to J,TILLEY.The person then ,through the site sends to me an e-mail that is inflammatory at best and I feel needs addressing.I do believe that this person has overstepped the rules and manners required as we communicate and disseminate info in this set of forums. He is even asking that I apologise.I made no remark to him and don,t even know who he is.I do know that he needs to learn to curb his anger at a slight that WAS NOT intended.I am very upset when I get an E-MAIL through the site that is of a nature that I wouldn,t even use the language used in mixed company! Your attention to this matter would be appreciated.Your friend and contributer TANKERBUILDER

Tankerbuilder, I'm not an admin on these forums, but have moderated forums in the past, and certainly no-one needs to be abused, either publicly on the forum, or privately in their email. There are proper channels in dealing with these miscreants.

Posts have a "Report Abuse" option located in the pull down menu labeled "More". I strongly encourage you to use that option to report this person to the admins. You can even cut and paste the abusive email into the report, as it gives you the option to add your two cents to the report.

So long folks!

I'll second that, use the "Report Abuse" button - just keep in mind the admins may not be" admining" at the weekend though?
