At a recent local IPMS mtg a member was about to donate 5 boxes of unbuilt kits and parts to Walter Reed Hospital in DC, for injured vets and their families to build and share. I never heard of the idea, but after a few phone calls, my 4 postings on the FSM forum, and tons of great feedback, I was wondering if FSM could create a permanent or rotating banner and link on the home page. This would give all site's visitors a regular reminder that their unused kits, partially built kits, non-military models, snap fits and basic supplies (no sharps, though) dont have to gather dust or get sold for a few bucks on ebay.
This is a very worthy cause for Walter Reed and all the vet hospitals and therapy centers across the country (and overseas), and would be a big help to the men and women who have sacrificed so much. I can be contacted here or gtmail77@yahoo.com .
