I've mentioned the same thing about sci-fi kits in general and the general response ( not delivered sarcastically by anyone ) was suggestions to note the number of threads in the Sci-Fi section of the board as opposed to the other areas. Most anime-related models fit in to this category and account for only a fraction of the topics there.
That's the heart of the matter: sheer numbers.
A second likely factor is that there probably aren't many people making submissions to FSM for the gallery pages. Not one to complain and not do anything about the situation, I'm planning to send pictures of several of my kits that are currently in the works to try to get some representation out there for us SF fans.
Hopefully they won't all be deemed too amateurish for use in the Gallery.
Maybe some of us SF modelers could get together and just blitz FSM with a bunch of potential Gallery submissions in the span of a month or so?
It may not be regular coverage, but we might get a Sci-Fi / Anime Special or something out of it!
Anyone else want to pitch in?
