Holding small parts

Glue-Dots!  AKA 'snot-dots':

You can get them at most scrapbook stores, or craft places like Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

Pull one off the roll, stick it to a toothpick and stick your part to it for painting.  It pulls off with no residue.
