Escale has a "Swap Meet Area".  I used to post there until I moved here.  It was really cool.  You posted all of you collection (in a Excel-like format) and you could choose an option if you would consider swapping that particular kit.  Or you could list as NFS (Not for Swap lol).  I had better service with those guys than on ebay!

the Baron

Understood, but it's their house, their rules.

I know but just making an observation since the subject came up. Sometimes the rules may change when enough interest is generated.

I read that under section 5 but I would say I agree if someone is running a business, not an individual trading a model no longer wanted or thinning the stash for whatever reason. I have made excellent trades on Armorama which benefited myself and the other person.

My first thought, on seeing this post, was, "Did you read the forum's FAQs".  Then I realized that there isn't an FAQ list, per se.  I did dig around and found this thread:

cs.finescale.com/.../144144.aspx

There is an item regarding sales, both commercial and individual in that thread.  Yes, it does mention buying ad space in the magazines.

I think more than saying, "Well, the other kids can do it", regarding selling kits, we should ask whether there needs to be a more prominent list of FAQs.  Now I'll say it:  "Other forums have them".  An FAQ list should be prominently displayed, so that all members, new or veteran, can find them quickly.

The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.

steelnavy & modelwarships have advertisers but still have the sell & trade forum or just do a post about to do it.

This has come up before and I wouldn't hold my breath.  In the past it has been suggested that it has to do with ticking off companies paying for advertising.

Too bad we don't have one like in Armorama. I have traded and purchased model kits there without a problem and it could be done here too.  It would be something for FSM to consider.
