poll feature

As far as I know, no official, thought-out reason. Some of the topic areas were added after the initial launch of the forums; we probably just forgot to switch on the poll function for some of them.

Can you tell me which topics you cannot post polls in? I think I can post polls in all of them, but that's probably a reflection of my admin status.

The poll feature is only available in Off-topic and General modeling discussion, I cannot post polls anywhere else.

I still need to get to the bottom of this, but I'm going to be out of the office for a while this week and next. If I don't post an update by, say, May 1, can you ping me with a reminder?
