reporting the naughty forum users.

I've noticed a bit of ummmm, "different" language on the forum lately, and it hasn't been cleaned up. I know we could send an email of to the administartors but would it be possible to have a little button on each post that says "report"? so if someone is using words they shouldn't be you could just hit that button and it would send a little report to the administrators that they can check into.

maybe we should just e-mail the posters themselves....better to clean-up "in-house" so to speak, then to 'cause too much of a disruption, and if they don't clean-up, then go to the "big dogs". I don't want that filter on again. If you know what I mean.

Just to point something out here. Everyone needs to point it out to the offender. Case in point, in Off-topic forum thread R&R I pointed out a cuss word to the offender and noone else did. Not to name names its the one refering to the CRAPPY weather. I'm the only one to do it and the word is still there. By god if I'm going to stick to the rules then everyone else should too. Blackwolf you're excused, you had a darn good reason to do so, and I don't blame you one bit. If we don't police ourselves, then the big dawgs will and I bet that won't be fun.

I still think you may need to e-mail 'em.....no offense, I think you're correct, but there are people who post, and kinda turn their back on it, and may not check the post again for a few days. So we may be just blowing air at people who aren't even paying attention, but if you e-mail 'em directly, they have to notice, and if they ignore you, then you can totally justify using a more harsh punitive action. This issue seems to pop up quit regularly BTW, and the forum members are generally quick to shoot it down. And when did BlackWolf cuss??!!! I knew it!!!! BUSTED!!!Tongue [:P]Wink [;)]

Better to self police the group by emailing the offender rather than smacking all of us with an editorial 2x4. Most of the time it seems to have worked, and worked well. If it doesn't, then you bring out the artillery: organize a group response to the offender. The only person who should have "The Button" should be the system administrator. He's the watchdog for the forum, ultimately. Now if we can just filter the folks who traditionally don't follow quiz instructions......................................Wink [;)]Wink [;)]Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D]

seems to me that if we're to regulate ourselves, EVERYONE should be part of it, and no one should be excused.
I myself, though ashamed to admit, probably posted a few choice words...gonna try very hard to just use f&*$ istead :)
