At the present time, Kalmbach does not have plans to add a chat feature to any of its websites, including FineScale.com. "Never" is a dangerous word where the Internet is concerned, so I won't say we'll never have it--just not right now. The chat forum that a small number of members have access to was part of a test project. The software seller allows parties interested in their product access to a test area (with more limited features than the product you pay for, I think) to take it for a spin and decide if they want to buy it.

I recommend not drawing too much attention to the test chatroom. If too many people start asking about it or it starts being accessed by more people than the original group authorized to use it, we'll probably be told to shut it down.

Hey guys I put a chat room on my site that y'all can feel free to use for the group builds or what ever else you want. Just go to http://lizardsworkshop.50megs.com/main.html and follow the big blue link on the left. Hope it can be of some use.

Great idea, Woody. I like it.Big Smile [:D] Had fun there yesterday. I'll be there next week.

I missed it too, but I'll put it in my calendar for next week. This 'pre-arranged' time is a good idea...

That's OK Robert, quite understandable. The chat did kick off but closer to 7:PM. We decided to try to make it a weekly thing so mark next Tuesday at 6:PM central on your calender. As for tonight, I can't make any promises as I told my son we would do something (his choice) this evening. If I'm able I check in at 7:PM. Wink [;)]

Do you still pop in there now and then ????

I do but it has been a long time since I ran across anyone in there. How about you? I think if we could come up with a set time and inform all of test group we might be able to get some good chats going.

I think at the moment access is restricted to a few people(testers), in short we are not supposed to know about it. Wink [;)]

I have a suggestion that both promotes model building and addresses the lack of warm bodies in the test chat room. How about opening the chat room to people participating in group builds?
