Thanks all, we're having a great time. He's all excited watching it come together. We're building Tamiya's Production turret version, way better detailed than my very old King Tiger. It's coming along quickly too, much to my chagrin after spending so much time on the old Panther.

on that note:
hip, hip, horray!! Big Smile [:D]

Kind of hard to NOT get inspired by THAT piece of work. The details (mags, water bottles, etc) in the interior are phenomenal.

Fantastic! Monrad's right - it is great to see the next generation picking up the glue and sandpaper. Keep up the good work.

Cheers, LeeTree

My son saw the cover to your May issue with the LAV 25 and was instantly impressed. He fell in love with it so to speak. It has resparked his interest in modeling and he pulled out that dusty King Tiger and we worked on it this week. He's anxious to finish it. He even talked about kitbashing and scratchbuilding. Whew! A lot to take in for me for so short of time. Of course he wants a LAV and maybe a Hummer. he tends to like modern American armor. Sounds good to me. Could this be the break I've been hoping for? Thanks FSM for hopefully lighting a fire of inspiration in my boy. Approve [^]
