I always use Google and search "cs.finescale" + whatever I'm searching for.  Learned that trick over on the model railroader forum.  It works.  The consensus is that the forum search does not work as a user would assume.

Good tip, Bill.

I used to get all bent out of shape because the forum search here is so bad. No longer. If I were the forum owner, I don't think I'd spend the money on an improved search function either.

You post gave me an idea. Though I often use Google to search for stuff I'm researching here at FSM, I have been frustrated from time to time not being able to find some old thread of mine or another.

You just made me think. Three keywords; my username, 'finescale' and the subject has pulled up each one so far. Thanks. Yes

I'm not satified at all with the function of FSM's "Search Forum" feature.

I have no idea how these thing's are designed.

I use a regular browser search with the term Finescale Modeler and whatever the subject is that I'm searching for.

It works very quickly.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
