I Wonder.
I know Kalmbach has a lot on the plate. Have you folks at F.S.M. ever considered Archiving, On C.D or downloadable to Thumb Drive the various Forums? Sometimes there's that vertable jewel that comes through that might get lost. Something that would lift a modeler another step up from Beginner to whatever.
I know, I was just wondering. You see, my son " Humper" has been on my case for years to write about my modeling experiences from the Dawn of Tanker-Builder till Now! I told him no one would print the thing because I never took Photos.
I have built on Commission, I have Built for Museums, Restaurants, Shipping Interests, Attorneys(Before Computer Graphics) and Sundry stores. When I was little I was bit with the bug. I still carry the scar from My time with my Foster parents going on Vacation and Me having the Pyro Natchez on the table.( Mother made me promise to NOT cut myself. I cut my left thumb to the Bone! From tip to first joint right on the pad!) By the time they got back the bandage was off.
But somehow Mom knew( How is it Mom's know these things?) Any way there is a lot in F.S.M that will always bear repeating in spades as each new generation comes forward. I balk when someone says Old, Dead, or otherwise about a thread. The thought is never old, Just couched in new language! The threads show different points of view about a step.
Yeah, I know I never post Photos.,I have explained why. But I still get hit with that request. That's why my Posts are so long winded. I try to paint Word pictures, In depth! I am one of the folks who isn't comfortable taking Photos when the job isn't finished. Some of my Scratch-Builds look atrocious before being closed in. Not Picture worthy to me!
