Dear Editor,
I don't think your definition of "gatekeeping" matches any in the dictionaries. Just because a few readers have opinions that differ from yours does not constitute gatekeeping. Also, the tone of your editorial was that only your opinions are the right ones. I haven't built a model in many years. I picked up your magazine to check out what was going on in the hobby today. After reading the editorial, I almost threw the magazine in the trash. The only reason I didn't was because Tim Boyd had some articles in the magazine. However, I won't be buying any more of your magazines because of the harsh attitude represented by the editor's comments. Look up the word "gatekeeping." The editor is guilty of gatekeeping, and he has closed the gate on me. Now I will go throw the magazine in the trash.
