It looks like LEDs now come in a huge variety of sizes and colors, making them suitable for lighting models. I would like to see an article from first principles on how to use LEDs to light a model. I would like to see the article explore 1) whether series or parallel is the way to go and why, and 2) how to determine what resistor you need to put in line with the LED to keep from zorching it. This would also be an opportunity to show different ways of connecting wire to the delicate leads of the LEDs, such as crimping, soldering, etc..
Just something to think about....
