I don't like your....
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, May 1, 2003 2:13 AM
I really don't like this forum's format. I find it hard to use and confusing. I guess I should just start pressing buttons, at random, to see what they do. For instance; I asked a simple question, the text to the left said I had two responses....I can't find them. Another thing. When I click on a subject (in the dark green area) I have to sign in again the have to select the subject again. When I click on the subject the cycle starts all over again. Is this your way of getting "Easy points" or some bizzar catch 22 the powers that be ,say must be included in order to, view subjects without having a sub to your magazine?Big Smile [:D]

PS.
I guess I'll never see the posted answers to my questions so,just disreguard them. I just clicked all the bottons...What does :"Read Write error" in white letters on a blue back ground mean?....Nevermind I'll never see the answer...But hey, Great Magazine!!!!

If you are actually getting the message from the PS (and I hope you're not, really), it means that your computer hard drive is probably failing and it's time to stop purchasing models for awhile and buy a new HDD.

I have to agree with demono69's observation: sounds like you're getting a hardware error message. As for the "catch 22" login cycle you've been trapped in, it's a sporadic problem that some users have had recently, myself included. We don't know exactly what's causing it; I recommend trying a help desk's favorite advice: log out, close the browser, reboot your computer, fire it up again, and go back in. You might also try dumping your browser's cache.

Once these problems are squared away, you may find navigating around the forums easier. If not, e-mail me, and I'll try to walk you through it. (I'll e-mail a copy of this message to you, too.)

Ah, computers. Can't live with 'em, can't afford to upgrade. [:0] Good luck!

Yet another fine example of the computer geeks worst enemy: the BSOD. (Blue Screen Of Death)

Remember the "Haiku Error Messaages" of a few years back? There was one about the Blue Screen of Death that ended with the line, "Nobody hears your screams." Computers! Grrrrrrr!.......Angry [:(!]Evil [}:)][:0]Black Eye [B)]

Just remember: In cyberspace, no one can hear you scream! :)

Glitches, smitches, b....er...uh... I gotta mosquito bite and it itches. Tongue [:P]

As it happens, since we launched this forum, I've come across quite a few other sites that seem to use the same (or a very similar) engines for their fourms. *Much* nicer than the early forums of six or seven years ago! (Once we get that log-on glitch in the WB reviews fixed.)
