In the December issue, page 44 (GALLERY - 2002 IPMS USA), it says that picture 1 shows a Churchill "in US service".
If I'm not mistaken, after D-DAY, all allied tanks had a star on top, for aerial recognition purposes -- the fact that this Churchill had the star didn't necessarily imply it would be used by americans.
