FineScale Reloaded (Page Load Times II)
Posted by David Voss on Friday, May 16, 2003 2:16 PM
With the The Matrix Reloaded being out in theatres, I couldn't resist the title. Cool [8D]

I made some minor modifications to some code on the website. I'm wondering if anyone has noticed an improvement on the site in regards to the pages loading and/or displaying. On the other hand, has anyone had any problems with the site since late afternoon Thursday?

Some of you may recall this being asked in another post ( Page Load Times).

Much better, Thank You Dave. Now I don't feel like I'm "stuck in the mud".

David,
I get far less time staring at the "white pages" while on the FSM forum, now. I just thought I was getting lucky.............
Thanks very much.

David -
I had a thought - when you reply to a forum question using the quick reply box at the bottom of the page, you then get a page telling you that your reply has been posted.
Then the page cuts back to the original page, with your new posting at the bottom.
It seems unnecessary, as you get thrown back to the page anyway, with your post at the bottom. Is there a way of cutting out that middle step?
That would also speed things up a little.
Not knowing a thing about web design and the mechanics of the forum system I've no idea of this is possible.
