The Active Topics page is a very convenient feature because it lists topics with recent activity since your last visit. This is a quicker method as opposed to looking through each forum for new posts. If you use (or have used) the Active Topics page, you've probably noticed that with the amount of activity in the forums this page becomes quite lengthy.
I am looking for any thoughts or suggestions on how to improve the Active Topics page.
A couple of ideas I'm considering are:
a) Limit the page to x amount of topics per page - also called "paging". The downside is that if there are 100+ active topics, then there would be 5+ pages (if 20 topics/page) to look through. This seems more of an inconvenience at some point.
b) Display the list by forum (a forum is a group of topics - ie., Armor, Aircraft, etc.). I could provide an option to quickly display another forum's active topics.
c) Or perhaps the page is fine the way it is?
As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Dave
