Hey DJ,

Well, I'm fortunate enough to have a total of four, uh, make that three hobby shops in the area. (Hobbyworld just went under recently. Sad [:(] It used to be six!) and between all of them that whole list is available locally except for Mushroom and Revi. I have to go to Toronto for those if I want 'em.

The Wing Masters and Steel Masters rags are carried irregularly by two of the three shops and are quite expensive, something like $14!!! But every once in awhile I'll pick one up at 50% because it sits there so long. En outre, mon Français est plus mauvais que mon Chinois.

I used to grab every rag that was out there, modeling & aviation, but after awhile it gets to be too much. FSM, World War Two & International Airpower Review (and the defunct Wings of Fame) are the only periodicals that I've picked up regularly over the last several years. I mainly search for classic rags with alotta good content at shows now. They usually come alot cheaper, as well.

Wish I could unload some of this stuff, too. Hey, I wonder if FSM has ever considered starting a buy/sell/trade forum... Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Wink [;)]

Blackwolf, you are just too much. That one was hilarious. Anyway, is that true that your local shop carries Steel Masters??? Replic??? What about WingMasters??? With France just 60 miles away, I can't get them here! But I've got good friends who send them to me! Are they expensive in the US?

We know this one's not truly in your hands, Dave. Can you bribe the brass in any way?

How about if all the forum goers who currently do not subscribe to FSM promise to subscribe for the next 50 years? No? They won't go for it? Okay, tell the brass that that's alright, my local shop carries Tamiya Model Mag, Aircraft Modeler Int'nl, Wing Masters, Armes Militarie, Steel Masters, Military Miniatures in Review, Over The Front, Mushroom, Replic, Revi, Model Aircraft Monthly, Scale Models Int'nl, Model Ship Journal, Military Modeling, Scale Aircraft Modelling... Wink [;)]Tongue [:P]

Well, in the meantime... if anyone's looking for a buy/sell/trade forum check out http://www.scalehobby.com/forum/ and check out the "Tradin' Post".

The buy/sell/trade forum is a fantastic idea. However to be honest, this isn't something that you will see here for awhile. This had come up for discussion back in December/January and the decision was not to allow it at this time.

I'm sorry it's not the answer you wanted to hear, but I didn't want this to go unanswered and leave the impression we weren't listening.

I'm just the messenger -- not the policy maker. Smile [:)]

I too would like to see this, despite there being a classified section on the website.

Just a thought... or maybe a category for each...

Armor Swap, Aircraft Trade, Ship Barter, etc...
