I thought it was well above average, which is pretty darn good.

For being our sole "Summer" issue, the issue struck me as only fair at best. While there were a couple high-points, the overall issue seemed little more than average. It would be nice for this issue to have been something special, but I guess I'll just wait for September.

I really enjoyed Mr. Boyer's article on the stretched C-130. The tips and techniques shown in articles like that are great because they can be applied to any modeling subject. For example, I plan on building a limo and I was wondering how to strengthen the joints so it wouldn't fall apart at the seams. This article gave me a good starting point on the techniques I can use to accomplish that. Thanks for an excellent article Mr. Boyer. As for the rest of the magazine I found it to be entertaining, although I was hoping it might be a little thicker since it'll be awhile before the next issue. I know I'm one in a million but I find the most boring part to be the kit reviews, I can take a couple, but it seems like there are a lot in there now. But I know most everyone else loves 'em. All in all it was a good read.

I also liked the C-130 article. That is proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

I enjoyed that article because the magazine in general is so geared towards aircraft and armor, and the occasional ship. It was nice to see something different. It'd be nice to see more things like sailing ships and the occasional auto. I know there's a whole other magazine just for cars, but I can't afford another subscription. I can't justify the few dollars it costs each month to the misses either, she keeps me on a pretty short leash.Disapprove [V]And even though it's the same publisher, I'm loyal to FSM.

I don't mean to sound like a brown noser but I really enjoy all the issues. Many times when there are articles on stuff I don't build I still may pick up things I can use. I thought the figure article was very helpful and the Maresal inspiring.

Great issue. I like the Phantom build the best. Is there any reason you haven't posted next issue on the web site?

Definitely, it's a better issue than the last few. Some more armor representation made me pretty happy, but I just wish the articles were a little more advanced. Nonetheless, good job!

This was the first issue of FSM that I bought. I intend to continue buying it, but not to subscribe--it's my way of helping support my local hobby shop, even if it is more expensive that way (they even had an ad in this issue!). As for the issue itself, I found the article on painting diorama figurines quite helpful. I find those tiny little 1/48 and especially 1/72 scale pilots to be a real chore to paint, and the article helped a lot in this respect.
