Kudos to your web team for a nice smooth transition to the new site.

Only complaint is I'm seeing a bunch of script errors navigating around...I can click through them, but they pop up pretty much everywhere.

Can't wait to navigate through all the new stuff.  Thanks all!

The elusive script error...  Hmm.

Are they everywhere or just in the forums?  Any page or a specific one?  I'm not seeing any errors, but doesn't mean it doesn't exist.  I'll definitely look into this.  Thanks!

Hi David.

They're runtime errors; not sure if giving you the line numbers helps much, but they are all "object expected".  I'm using IE 6.02800.106 with SP1.  Behind a proxy server.  They happen on all parts of the site, not just the forums.  I even get it as soon as I enter the URL for the forums site, whcih I have as a favorites link.  Hope that helps some.  Let me know if you need more info.

Sam

Just saw that you're changes are .NET too... good on you all!

I made it, too! Painless and easy.

I haven't encountered any errors yet, but I've only been on for a few minutes...

I miss the "quick reply," too!

Oh well, no big whoop!Big Smile [:D]

Just registered...

How come there is no quick reply??

How do you delete a post?

How do you post pictures?

What about the smilies? They should at least be listed.. Smile [:)]

Search still doesn't appear to be working great. Can't find a number of GB's.

Need some kind of ranking system. Miss the stars, rankings are found in pretty much every other forum out there, why not this one?

All in all, the design looks cool, but IMO, the last one, at least insofar, was a lot more practical and user friendly. We'll see where it goes in the comming time, but all this did now as force me to scroll through several screens to chat. Not very good for non-broadband users...

We're still not seeing it internally, but one of the guys took a look on a machine outside our firewall and did see the script error.  So we're getting closer ... I hope.

One of the things I miss.  It makes a come back in the next version of Community Server (CS 2.0).

You should be able to delete a post if no one has responded to it.

You should be able to post images using the bracket code.  You should be able to post images using regular html too.  I applied a service pack last night, which I suspect might be causing problems with posting images.  I'm able to post images, but appears that others can't.  Try posting images in the test thread once.

Yeah, I know.  For some reason in CS 1.1, they made them into a drop down list vs. displaying them on the side.

I know, there were some nice things from the old forums.  I'm hoping that in time we'll get much of that back in Community Server.  In regards to having to scroll through several screens to chat, are you referring to the ads, logo, and all the other stuff at the top?  Or do you think the forum messages themselves are larger than before?  Are the fonts too large, just right, or?

And I thought Family Law Court was a special kind of hell ... this was not fun, guys.

While I can't argue with needing to upgrade your software, I can say that the process was neither easy nor pretty, for me at least. I had to call the Kalmbach 1-800 number and wade through a ton of garbage there to finally find a human being who could walk me through it. An e-mail with step-by-step instructions would have been nice, but now I am back in and want to put this whole unpleasant episode behind me. Just don't do it again in my lifetime, OK?

lol I opened my big fat mouth too soon. The screens are a lot easier to look at, and I do love the fact that we get avatars finally.

It may take some getting used to, but I think it'll be just fine. Hell, I allready feel right at home.

There are somethings I still need to work out on here.  Although we've done this 3 times already, each time there's something new that comes up.  For FineScale.com, I've been able to adjust the colors and parts of the UI, but there's more I would like to do.  So please be patient.  If there's something you don't like or isn't working, don't hesitate to post about it.  If it's something I can't get in now, it might be something I can get into the next version.

Actually, for me anyway, the posts are easier to read the way they are.  My signature pic isn't resizing, though.  Is that part of the program?
