got the same magazine twice...
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, July 29, 2003 3:04 PM
Okay, I must say FineScale is a fine magazine, worth every dime...I like it very much. That' why I decided to subscribe to it. One thing I did not like is how I used the ordering leaflet from the July (I can't remember the month clearly, it's the most recent one, the one with the Abrams tank on the cover) issue to order, yet when my first magazine arrived, it was the SAME magazine!!

It would've been nice if FSM started my subscription on the next issue, or whatever that's not in bookstand at the time. Usually people read/buy a magazine from a store and then take the ordering leaflet if they want to subscribe. This means they don't need that SAME issue anymore, because they've already read/bought it.

Oh well, so basically one of my 10 magazines is wasted, the first one is the one I already have....Sad [:(]Sad [:(]Sad [:(]

Can you guys do something about this???

Just call their Customer Sales & Service number (1-800-533-6677) and tell them what happened. They can extend your subscription in their system so you get ten new issues.

Our order processing folks are too efficient! Most magazines take weeks or months to fill a new subscription, and by that time the next issue is out so this problem doesn't come up. A contributing factor might also be that since we don't do a June (or August) issue, July was the "current" issue for two months (end of May to about a week ago). I bet our customer service folks will fix you up if you give them a call.
