It's only JANUARY, Fine Scale!

As I look at the paper calendar on my wall, it says today is January 23.

So WHY in the name of all that is holy is the March issue of FSM already being touted on the webpage? This is just wrong.

Same thing with my subscription - it runs out in April, but according to FSM, if I don't pay up by Feb. 22, I'll be cut off. This is just not right. This "time compression" FSM had indulged in since the debut of the wesite redesign is nonsensical at times. This is definitely one of them.

The March issue hits newsstands on Jan 31, a little more than a week from now.

Granted, the issue month and calendar month don't always line up, but we still publish the same number of issue per year, regardless.

I received my March issue today in the mail...same as every month. Anyone perusing the local magazine rack during the first week on any month will find that most of the magazines - at least the newest issues - are all for the following month. February is sold in January, March in February, so on and so on.

As far as the subscription goes, the April issue will likely be shipped out on or about 22 February. Just to be sure, I would be renewing (if you plan on renewing) by the first or second week in February in order to receive the April issue "on time".

I believe FSM went into this when they went from 6 issues to 8.
The monthly date has little bearing on the actual date, they just need "a month" to release it and for "paper work, dead line" stuff.
(Hey I'm pretty technical I know).
The same can be said for mags that come out four times a year, It ain't gonna necessarily be winter when the WINTER issue comes out. Relax and enjoy and hope FSM will be a full monthly soon.

Chill, man, that's just the way the publishing industry works.
