                        Actually I thought it cool he was a published modeler (and a very good one at that)  ... just shows that maybe being a modeler is not geeky!  I'll have to mention his name when someone refers to us as that.  Wink [;)]

                        The Germans applied alot of camo in the field and it was left to the commander and crew to decide how they wanted the tank painted. So pretty much how you decide to do it is correct.

                        I've seen schemes on Panzer IVs that were quite similar in appearance. If he modeled a specific vehicle, I'm not sure.

                        Okay, so keeping the topic to painting, I've got a  question. I don't know much about German WWII armor and their camo schemes, so with that in mind: was Kevin's camo scheme a reproduction of one that was on a real tank, or did he design his own camo scheme?

                        I loved the article about using the silly putty; however, I would on liked more info, especially more detailed notes and pictures of his awesome weather job.  Is it possible for authors to get just a little more specific?
