Looking for market share data, etc.

The new format is really nice I appreciate the update you've done to the site.

Now I need to get some serious information on the industry that no nobody seems to ever publish.

It's great to see all of the "polls" where the populace is asked for their "most wanted" kits but how about some reciprocal information about the major kit manufacturers as to who has what market share in various regions of the world, whom do they cater too, what type of kits do they mostly produce and in which scale? Has the percentage of spend on this hobby changed from the previous years? There are many more questions of this type but this would do for a start. What do you think?

I'd like to see FSM, or some hobby industry magazine, publish industry data like this at least once a year so that we know just what's happening in the market these days.

I can't seem to find any of this data and it seems to be a closely guarded secret. We hear stories that Hasegawa and Tamiya mostly produce kits for the Japanese market and do not care that much about the US market. Is this correct? What figures can substantiate this?

Any way of obtaining this data and being able to publish it in the magazine in the near future?

Regards,
Mark Hernandez
