Great Scale Modeling lack of info!
Posted by Yann Solo on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 10:12 AM

I love the Great Scale Modeling magazine.  It is really nice to see other peoples work but I wish I could have more information about each kit.  What scale, manufacturer, aftermarket addition, etc...  I think that should be also done in the Finescale Modeler Magazine in the readers gallery.  I was particularly interested by one model in the last issue but I had a hard time figuring which kit the guy used to build it.

Being also a subscriber to National Geographic, I'm used to a certain quality of photo ... My first impression of the FSM magazine was a little bit of deception but I know it would cost more to have this printed in high definition.

All that said, I enjoy FSM when I read it and keep up the great work at providing us great articles.

No matter where you go ....... there you are.

My understanding is that "Great Scale Modeling" is an annual publication while FSM is a monthly (I'm STILL trying to figure out why only ten months). You can put more content and quality into something that you build up for over a year vs. a monthly magazine. Still, it would be nice to have more detailed information in the reader's gallery.

there are ten issues per month because two magazines are made in two months instead of one

Cheer UP!
FSM used to be  6 issues a year, then 8, now we have 10, can 12 be far behind?

Don
I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.
