Little question for DVoss
Posted by djmodels1999 on Friday, September 5, 2003 8:52 AM
Nothing important, just something that bugs me because I don't understand it...

In the Board Statistics of this Forum, in what order do the Active Members feature..??? It's obviously not in any alphabetical order, nor does it seem connected to the order of arrival onto the forum, so what is it???

Good question Domi ... I have tried to figure that one out myself ... doesn't seem to be a pattern. I hope the answer isn't ... that's just the way the software displays it Big Smile [:D]

Thanks for asking this one Approve [^]

Sorry for the delay in answering the question. I've been busy on a couple of other projects and haven't had much time to spend here. Sad [:(]

The order of the active members list is:

[drum roll begins]
1. Member Level (admins, moderators, normal users)
after that...who knows...
[drum roll ends abruptly]

After the member level, it's based upon however the database orders the records.

Any suggestions? Would you like to see it alphabetical, based upon time spent or time visited? I'm open to suggestions since this is easy to manipulate.

HEY,
I think it should be by who logged in first.

I think it should be when it gets to members in order of when you joined, i.e. longevity or senoirity.

Aw, I don't want to go back in and mess with it again. Last time I did there were errors popping up on the site. Blush [:I]
