The Errors and oversights forum?
Posted by Vartan041 on Sunday, March 18, 2007 4:31 PM
We got many modelers here building many different kits all of the time, and we all know how popular the kit reviews are in FSM. So how about a forum for modelers to report kit errors and errors in instruction sheets.  Just a thought.

Sounds like a good ideal! I like reading reading the reviews in FSM as a buyer's guide. Hate to drop good money for a kit that might be a lemon.

I don't think it'll fly.

If you're going to buy a kit, do some research at other sites, or even google it. Usually you can find at least four reviews.

Sometimes it can be difficult to find a review or an active link, but it's always worth a try. I also believe just asking here on the particular forum which is specific to the subject in question (aircraft, armor, etc.) can garner plenty of info about a kit. There are people here from all over the world who have been doing this for a long time, and the chances of at least one member having built a specific kit have got to be pretty good.

I've got a list, including scans of the directions with the corrections noted just waiting for a place like that to put them.  Big Smile [:D]
