When you referred to "the reference sectiion" - which area of the site do you mean? Can you copy the url of the page and post it here?

A few years ago I also ran into your same problem of not remembering what issue of FSM contained a specific article. Old age creeping up, I guess. I had a program on the computer called Access, made by Microsoft, and using it built up a data base of articles, reviews, and anything else I was interested in from my collection of FSMs. Granted, this took some time, and I experienced some frustration in developing what I wanted, but I now can do searches of my "library" of FSM from the first edition to current and get the month, year, and page of the article. With every new edition, I add to the data base. If you wish any additional info, don't hesitate to e-mail me.

I may not have made myself clear. I am presently working on a model of a F-4E. If I wanted to model a specific area, such as Vietnam and wanted to know what kind of AIM-9's were used in 1972. I would type "AIM-9 Sidewinder" into the key word block. The results would then read "November 2001". I could then go to that issue and get the information I needed. Other topics might have to mention several issues as the same topic would be covered at different times. This way it would direct you to the month/year that topic appeared in FSM.

That's a good suggestion. I'm assuming you meant the Back Issue section when you said reference section? That would be a good spot to put in a search box - making it clear that a search can be done for keywords on the back issues.

In the meantime, if you use the Search that is on the site, it does in effect the same thing. If you were to type in "weathering", here's what you would get:
