This is an issue with Firefox. Cut and paste is still possible, just not with the right click context menu of a mouse. Using the "Ctrl" key in conjunction with "c" and "v" will give you the capability you are looking for. Just hold down "Ctrl" at the same time as "c" will cut, and with "v" will paste. In fact, "b" will bold highlighted text, while "u" will underline. Same with "a" which will select all within a text box. There are others. If you Google "keyboard shortcuts" you will find quite a list!
