another copyright issue for fsm staff
Posted by camo junkie on Sunday, July 26, 2009 12:57 PM

hi again, i just finished up a 1:35 scale iraqi insurgent and i used dry transfer decals on his shirt that say "NIKE". after doing so it hit me that perhaps this would violate copyright laws...is this the case? i wont post my figure until i get a response. or can i post it if its "blacked out"? thanks staff! I personally wouldn't worry about it. Like NIKE is really gonna stumble apon FSM and sue because they saw their logo on your fig. I guess it could happen, but I'd give it a million to one shot.

If you bought the dry transfers from a reputable commercial source, they would have paid any licensing fees allowing you to use it. If you were to copy the logo and and sell it to make a profit, you could be be facing copyright issues.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I wouldn't worry about myself, I mean the worst thing is that somebody whines about it and you might want to change it. NOW if it was me and they didn't like it I'd tell them to get over it and where to go but Hey thats the way I am.
