Ah lets see... so this "quote box" IS the REPLY with/ the quote ?

Looks like you've got it. Smile [:)]

Be aware that the quote facility is a bit picky about users' names and will sometimes throw you a curve ball and complain about non-matching quote blocks (or something like that) if a user's name contains characters that it can't recognise. "Manstein's Revenge" is one such name - it doesn't like the apostrophe, and you can work around this by removing the said apostrophe. In fact, it doesn't seem to like the leading asterisk in your user name either... Shock [:O]Dead [xx(]

EDIT: If you wish to quote multiple posts, you can open the thread in another window, press the "quote" button on the desired post and then cut and paste the text block you're quoting into the post you're composing. Or you can manually add the "quote" tags and enter the required user name - eg. quote user="INDY"

If you wish to quote a specific post, at the top right corner of each post you have two buttons, "Reply" and "Quote" If you press "Quote", the contents of that post will be copied to your reply. If you wish to address a specific part of that post, you can simply remove the non-relevant parts. This method will attribute the quote to the original author of the post.

If you wish to quote an external source, such as text copied from another web page, which is not attributed to a particular forum member, you can use the [ quote] and [ /quote] (remove the space following the leading bracket "[" ) tags to enclose your quoted text.

I think I've about got it--Thank you so much Sir !!  What about if I want to quote 2 or more proceeding posts?
