I'm Megan! Smile

You should be all set, Johan. For some reason, the forum software chose a few random users and disabled their avatar use. You were one of the lucky few.

Feel free to send me a conversation if you need anything else.

I have a similar issue, I can browse and select a picture that I would like to use but I never recieve an upload option.

I do get a button that says < Use Uploaded Image > , if i select that option nothing happens.

If I go to the tab | Select an Avatar | and make a choice the webpage reloads but without changing.

So, who is "Megan"?

Very Best Regards
Johan

Thanks VC and Wingman too. I also recieved a reply from Megan and all is sorted, as can be seen. Apparently it was a glitch in the system in wgich the computer randomly picked 'a lucky few' and disabled their avatars. You just have to love technology!

  Thanks to Megan too!

I messaged Megan but have had no reply yet. I am sure she is very busy. I'm a patient fella so i'll give it a while for her to reply. I'll post the outcome.

  Thanks again...

No worries. I didn't take it that way at all. I hope they're able to get this straight.

Thanks mate! I wasn't intending to imply that you were holding anything back.....lol....Smile. Sorry if it came across that way. I was just having a joke... I know people on here don't hold stuff back if it can help some one, that's why i like the place soo much! Smile

Sending a PM.....i mean conversation....Stick out tongue....to the chiefs was the only next move i could come up with. Then i stumbled onto your post and thought it would be better to ask you first than, as you say, overflow Megans inbox...

  Many thanks Wingman Toast

I wasn't trying to hold back anything, just didn't want to cause Megan's inbox to overflow. Smile

When I had this problem before I sent her a message, uh, conversation and she was able to get it straightened out. It was something on their end. I wonder if possibly with some of the changes they've made in the last few weeks that whatever they did was undone. I had tried everything. Different sizes, images, browsers, etc and nothing worked. I couldn't even use one of the generic avatars they supply.

I'd suggest sending a message to Megan, Matthew or Aaron and see if they can get it straight again.

Yeh, I had the same problem not long after the changeover. I sent you a *conversation* saying what I did.

Tony

Hey guys, i am having the exact same problem. I just can't get an avatar to load. I am trying to use the same avatar i have always had. I have tried everything including resizing.

Any chance i could join your conversation for a little help...

Take a look at page 3 of the Community Assistance forum about 1/2 way down the page. There are a few questions and answers that might just take care of your question. One in particular says that the size of the pic you are trying to use could be too big. Try downsizing or upsizing the pic and try again. If not, check out the other posts.  Hope it helps.

OK, has anyone had this problem?

When I first started really using the forums etc. over the last few months I figured I should post a picture for my avatar. I posted one, realized it was too small & went back to pick a different one. I chose the new file, clicked upload & it refuses to be used. I still try it every so often, same result.

Have I broken it?

Are there rules about 1 picture per person?!

Am I truly so ugly I'm not allowed to post a pic!?! Big Smile

Anybody?
