Revell Slant 6 motorized models

I am a new member and hope to learn more about modeling in this day and age. I have started building the Revell Slant 6 engine that my parents bought for my older brother for Christmas in 1961. He was 11 and started but was apparently overwhelmed by the project. I am proceeding very slowly but I am astonished that so far I have found all the parts needed. I realize that I could have sold this and made a few bucks but if this model could possibly work I would be thrilled. I am sorry I am rambling but I would like to know if anyone has some knowledge about this model that they could pass on to me. Any info would be appreciated..
