Need help getting set up.
Posted by Chazzer on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 11:39 AM

I haven't modeled in about 9 years and I want to get back into it. I built mainly 1/35 scale armor. Mostly WW-II U.S and German and 1/35 scale figures. I need an airbrush, however I can only seem to find them just too expensive. I'm looking to spend less than $100. Any suggestions? I would like one that can be cleaned fairly easily ans can change paint colors easily also. I'm I kidding myself that I can find one under my price? Thanks Chaz

Here is my suggestion.  Micaels and AC Moore and Arts and Craft stores like that sell Badger airbrushes often enough, and fairly good ones for the price.  they ALSO put online and in news papers fairly often, 40-50% off coupons.  I suggest getting one of those coupons and go grabbing maybe a 150-200$ AB and use the coupon to get it donw within your price range.  Also, invest in a compressor, canned air gets expensive fast

Harbor Freight sells em for cheap. If you don't have a store around you, you can check em out online.....

I know some people that use these with great success. And for that price, even if it does break or malfunction some time down the road, buying a new one isn't really a problem.

Good luck and welcome to the forums and back to the hobby!

I was told by a member of my local club that princess auto has a single action airbrush here

I am not sure of anything else about it
