Can someone help me find this kit?
Posted by Temujin on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 6:28 PM

Hi everyone. I've been a member here for a relatively short time. I don't have many posts. Mostly when I come here, I just read.

I was a modeler for a long time when I was younger and have recently gotten back into it. (that is, since my knees have betrayed me I've been relegated to coaching rather than playing)

Rediscovering modelling after so many years has really been a lot of fun. It's peaceful and stress relieving.

Moving on, though, the reason I'm writing this post is I'm looking for this kit:

http://www.modellversium.de/galerie/1-hubschrauber/4807-sikorsky-sh-3h-sea-king-revell.html

I know it says Revell, but any search I've tried comes up blank. I'll be the first to admit I'm no whiz when it comes to computer or technical things. Heck, I just got a cell phone a couple of months ago, and that was just because my kids are driving now.

I'm also looking for books about this aircraft. I checked Osprey, but again, no dice.

Anyhow, if someone could point me towards this kit, I'd be very grateful.

Temujin:

I believe the Revell Germany kit you're after was a rerelease of the Hasegawa 1/48 Sea King. The latter seem to still be generally available: both Sprue Brothers and Scalehobbyist.com (the first two on my usual search list) show them as in stock.

Hope it helps.

Hey! Thanks a bunch fellas. I really do appreciate the help.

I sent the links to my wife and titled the email "Happy 20th Anniversary". Sneaky, I know, but hey, after 20 years, you pretty much have everything already, so you have to be blunt.

The only trouble now is, looking around in the sites, I also found a couple of ancient warships I've been thinking about as well.

Hi everyone. I'm here to ask for help (again).

I've been working on the Saturn V Rocket (1:144) , and I was struck with a thought on the way home from work today.

I thought it'd be great to have not only the rocket, but the launch pad & tower as well. I did a little looking around, but could find anything. I'm not sure if there even is one.

I figured if anyone would know, this would be the place to look.I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.

I'd be grateful for any help.

I'm looking for the 1/350 NX-01 Enterprise for a reasonable price.  Any suggestions?

Hi guys,

Just a gentle reminder that selling stuff on the Forum is against forum rules. It's okay that you're asking for help finding a particular kit. If anyone has a suggestion or has the kit, do not post it or a link to an auction or sale on the forum. Send the information via a private message.

Best,

TK

The nearest thing to what you want is the Revell Space Shuttle and Launch Tower kit, same scale, depends how much you want to spend and how much work you want to do!

I once saw a shuttle and launch tower that someone had scratch-built.  Perhaps it was on this forum or FSM magazine.  It was outstanding, but sure looked like a long and tedious job.
