I was writing a new post , when I was done I've tried to upload some pictures but somehow it did not worked.
Is it with the Insert Media button where it wants a URL from me? But I have the pictures on my computer!
Can someone please help me out ?
You have to upload the pictures in Photobucket or other free image hosting service. Once you have the image uploaded there, you can bring hit here thru its URL. Right on your post form, you see the smiley icon, next item on your left will be the INSERT MEDIA, is the icon that looks like a strip of film. Insert your image URL there and presto!
Your image URL is the one that will read http://www.blablablayadayadaya.jpg
Example:
http://images.nitrosell.com/product_images/8/1911/edu8461.jpg
Insert that address above in the INSERT MEDIA and you'll get this:
Thank you !
I was hoping to upload my pictures directly from my computer and not that I have to sign up somewhere else first
It's a kind of inconvenient ...
It is a little inconvenient. And if you ever delete or rearrange your photos on the photo hosting site you use, they disappear from your post here. (That's why if you go into some older threads, the pictures aren't there anymore.)
But from FSM's perspective, they don't have to finance and maintain the servers and storage for all the pictures people would upload.

Yes, and this is why I recomend sorting your pics by topic. Sites like Photubucket allow you to as many "Albums" as you wish. This makes it much easier to find the pics you want to post rather than scroll through 20,000 photos to find that one shot of that King Tiger.

Thanks to you guys !
So now I gonna have to sign up at another site !
I hope that my pictures can help someone around here , just like I got some inspiration from here !
Sometimes, your internet provider (like Comcast or AOL used to) provide you with a place to upload and store photos. I use a site called Flickr. It is free and I only post a few photos at a time. I delete them when I need to put updated photos there.
