AOL user needs help
Posted by rjkplasticmod on Thursday, January 29, 2004 8:22 PM
I am not real computor savvy, but I would like to post images on the Forum. Iv'e read the directions posted here and think I understand how to do it. Problem I have is that I put my images on-line as instructed using the My Pictures service provided to AOL users. Got an album OK, the images are there, I can view them OK. Problem is I have no idea what the URL is so I can't input into the Forum as instructed. Iv'e pulled up the images and run the mouse over just about every pixel on the screen but no address pops up. Have tried the AOL help screens but came up empty. If anyone can help I will be very, very grateful.
Thanks, Rick

The URL won't pop up automatically when you run your cursor over the image, you need to right click and choose either "properties" or "link properties" either one should get you the URL.

Copy and paste the address into your reply should do the trick.

Hope this helps.

P.S.: Be glad that you never had to work in the "Dark place", i.e. the days prior to graphics driven menus and screens, or the old BBS message boards tough to navigate those.

Thank you MADMODELFACTORY !! I should have figured that out myself, but like I said not that savvy. Thanks again, I'll try it tomorrow when I am less burned out.
