I have had some success with using enamel thinner or mineral spirits.  Applied with a brush along the join and gently pry apart.  The longer you wait between the glue mistake and trying to separate the pieces, the harder it gets.

The other option is to carefully saw them apart.

Glue removal

I know I've read this in FSM a half dozen times over the years, but never neede to use it till now and can't remember. What type of material can I use to remove tube glue from a model without damage to the plastic ? I inadvertantly glued  a few pieces together backwards and need to get them apart to reorient them. I tried prying, but they are held fast and I'm afraid I'll brreak the parts if I force them.
